I became a Partner Player for my school's unified sports team, which is a coed basketball, volleyball and bowling team for students with disabilities. Watching these kids play each and everyday with so much passion changed my life. This position gave me the opportunity to write about my experiences and this amazing team. But more than that, it inspires me to become more selfless and appreciate the little things in life. I truly believe the older you get, the more open you become, the more things you learn, the more people you meet. With every passing year there are points in my life where I have a pause and I think like, “oh last year I was doing this” or like, “I didn't expect all of this was going to happen”. I never thought I was going to come to Naz one day and meet all these people. I feel I am excited, nervous, but happy. It’s something that, even though you have an idea of who you want to become one day, you’re always in that position where you want that but there’s not anything that can really tell you it’s really going to happen, so that’s a mystery and secret that you always want to know. I don’t know where I will be in 5 years, in 10 years, but I’m really excited for it, and to keep learning and growing, but always being who I am.
