October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the walk against breast cancer is happening again this year in Rochester! Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is hosting an event at Frontier Field, 1 Morrie Silver Way Rochester, NY, happening on Sunday, October 15. Everyone is welcome! The walk begins at 10:00 am and goes until around 12:00 pm. There will be lots of music and games before the walk begins.
Every year Nazareth College participates in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk. Join the team by using the link Nazareth College UA Team. The first 100 participants to show up will get a free shirt to wear the day of the event. Invite your friends and walk with other Nazareth College students, rain or shine! This event is a great opportunity to get out of your dorm and get some exercise and inspiration with some friends and/or family.
Feel free to donate! Everyone is encouraged to donate but donations are not required to participate in the walk. The donations made to the American Cancer Society go toward breast cancer research and free services for those diagnosed with the disease. Every penny is appreciated and put toward a worthwhile cause.
The opening ceremony begins at 9:00 am to kick off the festivities. Join others in a celebration of the steps taken to improve the research and services for breast cancer. The Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk is a worthwhile event that has been bringing the community of Rochester together in support of breast cancer research for over 15 years. Come meet, converse, and be inspired by breast cancer survivors and others who have been affected by the disease. Every bit of support matters as each individual at the walk adds their own personal story to the crowd.
