Marketing Club Agency Crawl

Sponsored by the Rochester Advertising Federation, the Nazareth College Marketing Club is hosting an Agency Crawl. This will take place on April 10th from 9am to noon. There are 30 spots available, and sign ups are due by April 3rd. This event is open to and free for all Nazareth students. Students will visit three local advertising agencies, Truth Collective (truthcollective.com), Partners + Napier (partnersandnapier.com), and Roberts Communications (robertscomm.com). Each agency will provide a tour, along with discussing what it is they do at their agency. They will also talk about their internship programs. Many students are looking at internships, so this would be a good way to get a true understanding of possible opportunities.

Now why look at agencies here in Rochester when there are larger agencies in cities like Chicago or Manhattan? Most advertising agencies have similar structures, just different scales. Mark Weber, the Marketing Club Advisor, says that Rochester has a growing economy due to the large amount of start up companies popping up. These companies need marketing, which makes Rochester a prime spot for up and coming marketers. Weber also went on to say that to get into those large agencies in large cities, you need experience. And these smaller scale agencies are places to get that necessary experience.
