  • Making a Murderer
    • After spending nearly two decades in prison for a crime he did not commit, Steven Avery is freed and files a lawsuit against the Manitowoc County, Wis. Shortly after the suit is filed, Avery finds himself behind bars again being accused of the murder of photographer Teresa Halbach. Columbia graduate students Laura Ricciardi and Moira Demos follow and record the story and make it into a documentary 10 years following the verdict. This 10-episode documentary has generated petitions to have the Avery case reviewed. (9/10)
  • The Killing
    • Murder stories unfold through the eyes of Sarah Linden, a detective with the Seattle Police Department who mentors Detective Stephen Holder. She has been a detective for many years, while Holder is a former narcotics cop. Their investigative styles are different, however, they pull together for the case. (8/10)
  • House of Cards
    • U.S. Republican Francis Underwood of South Carolina is a nasty politician who is seeking ultimate revenge. He helps ensure the election of Garrett Walker, with a promise that he will become secretary of state. However, Walker quickly changes his mind before the inauguration and as a result, Underwood and his wife make a pact to destroy Walker and his allies. (7.5/10)
  • Daredevil
    • This story follows Matt Murdock, who is an attorney by day and vigilante by night. After being blinded in an accident as a child, Murdock uses his heightened senses to fight crime on the streets of New York once the night hits. A powerful businessman, Wilson Fisk (Kingpin), does not entertain the efforts brought about by Murdock. Although Murdock’s day job shows a man who fully believes in the criminal justice system, his alter ego suggests otherwise. This exciting show is definitely one to watch. (8.5/10)
