What campus activities or organizations are you involved in?  Residence Hall Council–Treasurer

Do you have prior experience as an official?

Track Captain-High School, Class of 2017 Treasurer–Freshman and Sophomore year.

Position Running For: Class of 2017 Treasurer

Why are you running for this position?

I am running for this position because I have enjoyed the time that I have already spent in the position trying to make our time here at Nazareth College a fun experience. I have also enjoyed the group of officers that I have worked with over these past two years. I  believe that our group has formed a bond that allows us to communicate well with each other.

What do you hope to accomplish at this position during the 2015/2016 year?

My goals for the 2015/2016 year include a larger focus on having more events! We have had events in the past but next year I plan to communicate more with the student body of the Class of 2017 and get their suggestions for what they want to see happen.

If you could improve anything on campus, regardless of what it would take, what would it be and why?

If I could improve anything on campus it would probably be the population that are hosted on campus.  I just do not feel that there is a strong enough pull to have students attend events and I feel that it should be changed.

What is your favorite and least favorite thing about college? Explain:

My favorite thing about college is meeting new people. You never know where they are from and it’s always interesting to hear someone else’s story.  My least favorite thing about college has to be those long nights that you spend working and studying. I like my sleep. However, it is worth it in the end when you get a good grade on something you stressed over so much.

Why do you think it’s important for students to participate in the UA or other campus activities?

I think it is very important to participate in UA and campus activities because it allows students, especially new one, to socialize and network, which over these past two years I have found extremely necessary.  They also allow you to get away from the stress for awhile and remember that you are more than that pile of textbooks all over your desk.

Are there any new initiatives or programs you are looking to introduce?

At this moment I cannot think of anything new I would like to introduce. Nazareth already offers a diverse amount of clubs and activities, especially in the UA. I am open to suggestions from the Nazareth community.

What is your favorite Netflix show to binge watch?

There are so many, but I would have to say Bones.

Who would be your fictional BFF (From a movie, book, tv show, etc.) and why?

Ron Swanson from Parks and Recreation. Because who wouldn’t want to be friends with the guy who hates everything.

Starbucks or Dunkin, why? Dunkin, because it tastes better and it’s not overpriced.

What word do you use too often?
