Do you have prior experience as an official?

Position Running For: Class of 2016 Secretary

Why are you running for this position?

I have enjoyed my time working with my fellow officers for the past 3 years. I am really looking forward to continuing on into our Senior year and planning events to make our final semesters the most memorable yet.

What do you hope to accomplish at this position during the 2015/2016 year?

I would like to make more of an effort to get connected with our class and find out what people are really concerned about and what events they would like to have.

If you could improve anything on campus, regardless of what it would take, what

would it be and why?

I would improve the dining hall services. Food is such a central part of campus life and impacts everyone’s performance and health. I would like to see food prepared in a more healthy way.

What is your favorite and least favorite thing about college? Explain:

My favorite thing about college would have to be the opportunities that I have had to explore the city of Rochester and broaden my horizons. I am from a very small town and coming to Nazareth has allowed me to experience so much diversity and shaped my views and opinions of the world thus far. My least favorite thing about college would have to be a tie between on campus dining and having to limit the courses I am taking for the sake of time. There are many classes that I would like to take but just don’t have time to.

Why do you think it’s important for students to participate in the UA or other

campus activities?

I think participation on campus is great experience for leadership and involvement in the real world. We aren’t going to be safely tucked away at college forever and I think holding leadership positions and knowing how to work/interact with others is invaluable. Also, not taking advantage of all the opportunities to be involved would be a waste of the college experience. It’s all about meeting people, learning new things, having fun, and diversifying yourself.

On a scale of Miley Cyrus to Queen Latifah how suitable are you for this position?
