Position Running For:Class of 2018 President

Class of 2018 President

Why are you running for this position?

I feel there is so much I can do to help unify my class and I have great ideas for events I want to develop. I’m also a strong leader and can handle my time very well.

What do you hope to accomplish at this position during the 2015/2016 year?
Creating events for the whole campus to enjoy and help reinvent ways to make the current events better. I also wish to keep an open line of communication with the incoming freshman and the people of my class. I want to be as approachable as possible, and help make dreams become reality.

If you could improve anything on campus, regardless of what it would take, what would it be and why?

I feel like the one thing that can improve is the shuttle system. I try to take the shuttles at least once a week and it’s almost impossible for me to get anywhere on time because I have to wait so long for one to show up. I don’t want anyone to have to wait an overbearing amount of time to get from point a to point b.

What is your favorite and least favorite thing about college? Explain:

One thing I love about college is how open people are to new things. Coming to a place where you don’t know many people if any, and being able to challenge yourself and come out of your shell and experience life beyond what you were able to experience at home is truly breathtaking to me. One thing I don’t like is how little time I have for, “free time”. I’m a busy guy and I love everything that I do, but it’s hard to constantly be on the move, and I have trouble finding time for me to pick up a book or surf the web. But I love the things I do here and I wouldn’t trade it for the world.

Why do you think it’s important for students to participate in the UA or other campus activities?

Participating allows you to speak your mind and make things happen the way you see fit. If you don’t participate, then you’re agreeing with every idea even if you don’t like it. By participating you can make your college experience so much more memorable.

Are there any new initiatives or programs you are looking to introduce?

There are so many ideas that I have and I am going to try my best to get them implemented by next year.

What is your favorite Netflix show to binge watch?

Right now I have been binge watching Archer, but I am excited to binge watch Mad Men and House of Cards over the summer.

On a scale of Miley Cyrus to Queen Latifah, how suitable are you for this position?

I’d say I’m just a John Travolta away from reaching Robin Williams in the Dead Poets Society level.

What is your favorite Emoji and why?

My favorite emoji is “The Salsa Dancer” or as I like to call her, “The girl tastefully showing her ankle” emoji. That’s a timeless emoji and represents my inner most desires. To tastefully show my ankles.
