For anybody who has not heard, the deal of the new year has arrived at Nazareth College. Naz Dining is emphasizing its efforts to be a sustainable dining facility while trying to make our lives easier. We all do our own part to be green by recycling cans and bottles or turning the lights off in an empty room, but here at Nazareth our dining hall is attempting to go above and beyond. Among other initiatives, such as Tray-Less Dining, they want to cut down on the waste produced every day on campus by offering the Nazareth College #ChoosetoReuse To-Go-Container.
For a one time purchase of $9.99 (Dining Dollars accepted) you get a To-Go-Container and a reusable Nazareth mug that can be filled with whatever you are craving that day and that can be taken with you on whatever adventure you choose. It is perfect for between classes or just heading back to your room for a little extra Netflix binge watching.
The best part is that you do not even need to wash the food container yourself! Just bring the empty container to the register in the Lourdes dining hall and they will take your old one in exchange for a clean, brand new one.
Eat. Wash. Repeat.
It is really is that simple. For students, taking food out of the dining hall is finally an option. With more options to eat while we run to classes or group project meetings, Naz Dining shows us they truly care and value our busy lives.
Convenience is great but it is also the effort to cut down on waste which gives the bundle a must buy value. It doesn’t take any extra time out of our day and it gives us more value for our money. It is a great product that is easy to use, affordable, and helps each of us to become a little bit more sustainable in our daily lives.
